Overview

Burn After Reading is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data necessary for the app to function.

Data We Collect

• Location data: Used only to show nearby drops and let you create drops at your location. Your location is never stored on our servers or shared with third parties.
• Messages: The content you write in drops is stored temporarily on iCloud until someone reads it, then it is permanently deleted.

Data We Don't Collect

• No account or personal information
• No email addresses
• No tracking or analytics
• No advertising identifiers
• No data shared with third parties

iCloud

Drops are stored using Apple's CloudKit service. Data is associated with anonymous iCloud identifiers, not your personal Apple ID information. Apple's privacy policy applies to data stored in iCloud.

Data Retention

Messages are automatically deleted after being read. Unread messages may be removed after a period of inactivity.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data or require accounts, there is no personal data to access, modify, or delete.
